Random Data

Uniformly Distributed Integer Numbers

Select (Data, Random Data)

and click on the Uniformly Distributed Integer Numbers command

Select Roll of a Die, specify the number of rows and columns to generate (600,1) and click on the Accept command. Select (Frequencies, Frequencies), and (Graphs, Bar Graphs). Associate the  ArgFrequency with the Abscissa and Frequency with the Ordinate and click the Accept command.

Repeat the previous steps, however this time

selecting the Suite of Cards and specifying the number of rows and columns as 600,7 and click on the Accept command. Select (Frequencies, Frequencies, Select All), and click on the Accept command. Click on Entities and number the rows of the vector display. Select (Graph, Multiple Graphs), and, holding down the CTRL key, select the seven Frequency variables. Click on the Accept command. Select (Coordinates, Cartesian Coordinates) and (Colors, Color Bar for Uniform Colors) and drag a color to each of the rectangular distributions.

Uniformly Distributed Real Numbers

Select (Data, Random Data)

and click on the Uniformly Distributed Real Numbers command

Click on the Zero to .999 Interval, specify the number of rows and columns as 600,1, and Replace data on the vector display. Select (Frequencies, Frequencies, Select All) and (Graphs, Bar Graphs). Associate arg Frequency with the Abscissa and Frequency with the Ordinate.

 

 

Normally Distributed Integer Numbers

Select (Data, Random Data)

and click on the Normally Distributed Integer Numbers command

Select Step Distribution with M = 0 and SD = 1, specify the number of rows and columns as 600,1, and click on the Accept command. Replace the data on the vector display label Entities with consecutive numbers, select (Graphs, Graph Indexed by Entities, Select All), and click on the Accept command.

 Select (Frequencies, Frequencies, Select All) and (Graphs, Step Graph)

 

Normally Distributed Real Numbers

Select (Data, Random Data)

and click on the Normally Distributed Real Numbers command

Select Distribution with M = 0 and SD = 1, specify the number of rows and columns as 600,1, and click on the Accept command. Replace the numbers on the vector display. Select (Modify, Categorize) and define the First and Last Category as -3,3. Select All and click on the Append command. Select (Frequencies, Proportions, Categories) and click on the Accept command. Select (Graphs, Spline Graphs), associate arg Prop with Abscissa and Prop with Ordinate and click the Accept command. Select (Markers, Select Series [1], Hide Markers). Click on View and hide Toolbar. Select (Graphs, Names, Legends, Editors), Name the Abscissa Normally Distributed Random Numbers and click on the Name the Abscissa command.
