Enhanced Reality
Her name was Jenny von Westphalen and I was touched by her erudition and love of Vergil. I tried to imagine how she would look today. I balanced the tone, equalized grays and enhanced contrasts of the old photographs. I also removed scratches and dust from her face and there she is. The face is hers, the clothes are Calvin Klein's. Jenny was my first resurrection followed by the  of Anatole France and others, scattered throughout my books.
